About

Discover Hidden Connections in Fungi: Web of Life and Seasonal Stargazing Join us at the Blake Planetarium for an immersive program that reveals the unseen networks shaping life on Earth and the stars above us. Our feature presentation, Fungi: Web of Life, explores one of nature’s greatest mysteries. Existing between the worlds of plants and animals, fungi form vast, hidden networks that connect ecosystems and sustain life in ways scientists are only beginning to understand. Through stunning visuals and storytelling, this program uncovers how fungi recycle nutrients, support forests, and link all living things together, offering a new perspective on the delicate balance of life on Earth. The program concludes with Seasonal Stargazing, a short and engaging tour of the current night sky. Learn how to spot prominent stars and constellations, hear the stories behind their names, and discover “what’s up tonight” in this lively fulldome experience. TICKETS ARE SOLD ONLINE ONLY. NO TICKETS WILL BE SOLD AT THE DOOR. Please note that we are a ticketless venue. When you buy your ticket online, you are immediately added to our attendee list, no need to print anything or present an e-ticket. Just check in on show night with your name and a smile. All ages welcome. Parking is free. Food and drink are not allowed in the planetarium. No refunds at any time. If you have questions about the event, please email Alison Riordan at ariordan@plymouth.k12.ma.us (Science Curriculum Coordinator, Plymouth Public Schools).
